Netflix and Amazon Don't Have to Worry About Redbox

Coinstar's (NASDAQ: CSTR  ) Redbox Instant is getting more confident about its fledgling Redbox Instant platfrom.

Rexbox Instant -- the streaming and kiosk rental service rolled out by Coinstar and Verizon (NYSE: VZ  ) -- is starting to promote its free 30-day trials through Facebook (NASDAQ: FB  ) .

Yes, it's interesting to see Redbox as an advertiser on Facebook, because Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX  ) CEO Reed Hastings sits on the board of directors of the world's leading social networking website operator. However, should Coinstar really be advertising this service at all? Shouldn't it wait until it has a comparable library to what Netflix and Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN  ) are presently offering?
