Verifone (PAY) this afternoon posted a beat-and-raise quarter for its fiscal Q2 ended April 30.
For the quarter, the electronic payment systems company reported revenue of $240.7 million and a non-GAAP profit of 29 cents a share, ahead of the Street at $227.4 million and 26 cents.
For FY Q3, the company expects revenue of $240 million to $250 million and non-GAAP profits of 29-30 cents a share, ahead of the Street at $235.6 million and 28 cents.
For the October 2010 fiscal year, the company sees revenue of $960 million to $970 million and non-GAAP profits of $1.12-$1.15 a share, ahead of the Street at $930.3 million and $1.09.
PAY in late trading is up 38 cents, or 2.2%, to $17.69.
