Hasbro (HAS) is expected to report Q4 earnings before the market open on Monday, February 8 with a conference call scheduled for 8:30 am ET.
GuidanceAnalysts are looking for a profit of 82c on revenue of $1.34B. The consensus range is 75c-89c for EPS, and revenue of $1.28B-$1.39B, according to First Call.
Analyst ViewsIn December, the Wall Street Journal reported that the toy company is being guided by CEO Brian Goldner to license its products for cable TV shows and to Hollywood to build characters "into stars." Hasbro and Discovery Communications (DISCA) unveiled "The Hub" in January, the official brand and logo for its children's network. The Hub will reach approximately 60M homes. Also, the company recently increased its quarterly dividend 25% to 25c per share, payable on May 17.
As for the quarter, Wells Fargo believes Q4 and 2010 results should beat the Street consensus. After conducting checks and reviewing competitors' comments, the firm sees potential catalysts for the stock in the near future and says sales in Q4 were "solid." In addition, the firm says Hasbro has the best growth prospects in the U.S. toy industry over the next 3-5 years.
