Microchip Technology Inc (Nasdaq:MCHP) announced the MCP1754/MCP1754S low dropout regulators (LDOs). The devices feature a high PSRR of 70 dB at 1 kHz (typical), and a maximum output current of 150 mA at +125 degrees Celsius junction temperature. Both LDOs offer a high input voltage of 16V and an output voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V, with standard output voltages of 2V, 2.5V, 2.8V, 3V, 3.3V, 4V and 5V, and output voltage tolerances of +/-2.0 percent over the entire temperature range. The MCP1754 provides enhanced features, such as a shutdown input signal and a power-good output signal, while the MCP1754S is the baseline version of the device.

Cleantech Transit, Inc. (CLNO)
Biomass plant material such as wood or hay can be burned to provide heat to raise steam and so generate electricity in a power station. Animal waste (e.g. animal slurry from a farm) can be treated to provide gases that can be burned to generate electricity. Landfill sites emit gases (mainly methane) that can also be used to provide energy. Some plant materials such as sugar cane and maize (sweetcorn) can be fermented to produce alcohol. Alcohol can be used in cars as a substitute for petrol.
Cleantech Transit Inc. was founded to capitalize on technology advances and manufacturing opportunities in the growing clean energy public transportation sector. The Company has expanded its focus to invest directly in specific green projects.
