Nokia: T-Mobile To Carry Lumia 710 In January

T-Mobile USA will start selling the Lumia 710, one of the first phones developed jointly by Microsoft and Nokia, on January 11th.

Confirming a report by The Wall Street Journal last week, T-Mobile USA today announced it will start selling Nokia’s (NOK) “Lumia 710” using Microsoft’s (MSFT) Windows Phone 7 operating system on January 11th. The device will cost $49.99 with a two-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The device is the first fruit of the Microsoft-Nokia partnership to go on sale in the U.S.

Shares of Nokia are trading higher by 8 cents, or 1.5%, at $5.07.
