In case you missed it, Canadian paper The Financial Post’s Theresa Tedesco and Matt Hartley this morning reported that Research in Motion (RIMM) is “preparing to unveil a corporate shakeup” that could see co-CEOs Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie lose their joint chairman role.
The authors, citing multiple anonymous sources, write that director Barbara Sytmiest may be named chairman in their place.
A change in roles may be one outcome of an ongoing board committee review of the company’s structure, they write.
RIM shares today are up $1.08, or 7.5%, at $15.58.
